I received a report from Alexander
Rodichev about the new congregation begun in Dnepropetrovsk. It seems to be off
to a very good start with attendance over the first month averaging 15-20. They
are renting a room for Sunday services and are meeting two classes on
Wednesdays. Sasha has raised his support from the Lord’s church in Bumpus
Mills, Tennessee and churches in Ukraine.
He reports benevolent help extended
to an elderly sister who has been the victim of physical abuse and a
three-generation family of ladies who moved to Dnipro from Kramatorsk
(presumably because of the conflict). A regular meeting place for the Children’s
Bible School Sasha and wife Elena have established in Dnipro is being sought.
They have also been contacted by a Christian lady who fled from the occupied territory.
It seems this new work is developing quickly.
Sasha expressed great
appreciation for the funds sent to help bridge the gap until he could
find permanent support. We very much appreciate Sasha and Elena, along with the
brethren there, for their faithfulness and zeal. Please keep them in prayer.
